Founded on March 31, 2022 in beautiful Hope, British Columbia, the ANU founders believed that as a nation, we are truly better together and the formation of ALL NATIONS UNITED, a Labour Union steeped in Indigenous values was a historic opportunity to approach labour relations in "A New" way. A way that supports meaningful and sustainable involvement of Indigenous people and communities in Canada's economy.
Many Canadians have learned much about the history of Indigenous people.
There has been an awakening and many see the tremendous value that Indigenous people bring to the cross sectoral labour market. Canadians are looking for a way to engage be part of A NEW future. ANU provides a path to raise up all Canadian Workers and close the historical gaps that have kept Indigenous workers at a disadvantage.
Implementing many of the recommendations found in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report is a win for all Canadians.
No one group will singlehandedly bring about reconciliation and national healing. By working together, all cultures, all people, can heal our nation. The Founding Members believe that by building a foundation based in strong values ( Respect, Dignity, Honesty, Collaboration) and by making conscious decisions to embrace, value and celebrate all cultures, nationalities that together we will bring about great change and leave a legacy to be proud of.
